Timely has a new update, and it's not your average minor fix or tweak. In this update, we're introducing five exciting new features, and a much-needed fix.
New features / new things
New UI
Timely has a new UI, and it's looking more modern, more sleek and overall amazing, and its live right now! We redesigned our user interface to make it more scalable, so that Timely will eventually reach the goal of becoming the only thing you'll need to manage your time, and make your life as a student 10x better.
The Sidebar
Thanks to the new UI, we implemented a new sidebar as an alternative to the old action bar. This sidebar is collapsible, so now you can have a distraction-free Timely tab with nothing but the information you want. And (yes, we checked), the new sidebar can fit 14 spaces that link to features or pages.
Enhanced Navigation
Navigating Timely has never been easier with our new enhanced navigation system, that acts as a sort of command palette that leads to every Timely feature and page there is. You can access Enhanced Navigation by pressing the search icon in the sidebar, or by using the keyboard shortcut Cmd+K (Or Ctrl+K on Windows, Linux or Chrome devices).
Dark Mode
Yes, finally! The most requested feature since the day I released Timely to the public, we added dark mode, something so little but so clean, we've been working on this for such a long time, trying to perfect it (and by that I mean I completely ignored the feature). You can access dark mode today using enhanced navigation or the keyboard shortcut Cmd+Shift+C (Or Ctrl+Shift+C on Windows, Linux or Chrome devices)
PWA Support for mobile
Wait wait wait, what's a PWA? That's a question you might be asking, and I promise its not some weird coding thing... You can now use the feature where you can add websites to your home screen on your mobile devices to make Timely a sort of "app", this "app" comes with a mobile-exclusive user interface that is designed for ease of use on mobile devices.
Fixes
Transition periods
For some periods, there's like a 2 to 4 minute period where you're just in between two periods, and before this fix, Timely used to glitch when these periods came, now it doesn't, so when you see "Transition" on Timely, it's just that 2 to 4 minute period between classes, so just go to your next class...
Yeah, so this is cool and stuff,
