The Calendar Update

Authors

"๐Ÿ‘ทโ€โ™‚๏ธ Something cool is coming...". Throughout all the updates, all the changes and all the fixes, one thing has stayed the same in Timely: "๐Ÿ‘ทโ€โ™‚๏ธ Something cool is coming..." That is until now! Introducing Timely Calendar, the biggest update of the year (so far).

Introducing: Timely Calendar โ€‹

We've been cooking behind the scenes to bring you this update, it's nearing the end of the academic year, so why don't we end it with a nice new Timely update. Timely Calendar comes with 3 views: Year, month, and week. Below you'll see week view, incorporating Timely's refined design language, decked out with my personal schedule:

Below is month view as well:

And of course, year view:

There are a lot more features coming to Timely Calendar, such as implementing the IPS Activities & Events calendar, and the regular academic calendar. And support for Google Classroom and the high school assessment calendar. Timely Calendar is currently in public beta and not all features are available at this time.

Announcing: Insights โ€‹

Moving forward on our goal to make Timely THE app for students, we're cooking up a new feature called Insights. Powered by the latest and greatest AI models, Insights is built for your personal context, connected to your calendar, and knows all the details about your assignments with integrated Google Classroom support.

Insights isn't just a chatbot (it may not even be a chatbot at all), it's your personal assistant for everything school. There's a gap in the market for this kind of stuff, and Timely Insights fills it. The best part? It's free!

Double period support is here! โ€‹

Ever since we added Personal Schedule support, I and a lot of others fall into this trap where Timely says there are 5 minutes left in math class, but it ends up being a double period, so it ends up being more like 55 minutes... Never again will our users fall for this trap, as we've added double period support to both Timely Calendar and the Timely home page.

Another UI update? Seriously? โ€‹

Yes, another UI update. When making Timely Calendar initially, we noticed that the existing Timely style doesn't work very well with calendars, or anything really- it's an inconsistent mess that needs to be fixed. So we updated the design language, again! You may have noticed it in the Calendar screenshots, but here it is in the Timely home page.

This is a calendar-riffic update (haha) (funny) (yeah) (awesome)
